David Burgos – Controller

David Burgos serves as Controller at Barranco, where he leads the company’s financial operations and oversees the accounting team’s compliance with GAAP standards and internal reporting accuracy. He joined Barranco in July 2024 as a Senior Accountant and was promoted to Controller in February 2025 in recognition of his leadership and technical expertise.

With over 12 years of accounting experience in the insurance and employee benefits sectors, David brings a strong background in general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and process improvement. His deep understanding of accounting operations is matched by his passion for developing and mentoring high-performing teams within the finance function.

Outside of work, David is a dedicated triathlete and has completed multiple Ironman races, including two full-distance and five half-distance events. He holds a degree in Accounting from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
